The mother of his 2 children stirred up community controversy in Denver years ago by sleeping with the teenage son of her then-girlfriend and getting pregnant by him. The youth was 19 at the time (but only a high school sophomore) and a student of hers at the charter school she taught at - a situation that clearly underlined a sexual assault from a person in a position of trust...

One can only imagine the impact on children having not one, but both parents,

 who have engaged in sexually abusive and criminal behavior...
